?? Upcoming Seminar Alert! ?? Application of the New Sonic-Based Saturation Model to Conventional and Unconventional Oil Reservoirs ?? Date: April 24, 2025 ? Time: 12:00 PM - 01:00 PM (US CDT) ?? Location: Downtown Houston (Webinar available) Join us for an insightful seminar with Sheyore John Omovie, a Petrophysical Consultant at Goshey Energy Services LLC, who will present a groundbreaking new approach to estimating water saturation in reservoirs using sonic logs. ABSTRACT: This seminar will discuss the application of a new empirically derived saturation model for estimating water saturation without the need for formation resistivity or brine salinity. This model leverages the observed change in bulk modulus or velocity ratio in gas and light oil reservoirs. Learn how it has been successfully applied to various reservoirs, including organic gas shale and gas sand reservoirs, offering significant advantages over conventional saturation models in challenging conditions such as low resistivity, low contrast, and shaly sand reservoirs. Why Attend? Discover how sonic logs can quantify hydrocarbon saturation in gas reservoirs. Understand the impact of this new model on fluid identification and water saturation estimation. Learn from Sheyore's two decades of experience in petrophysics and rock physics. ?? Register now: Registration Link :https://lnkd.in/g2U8CAqq ?? Fees: FREE ?? Contact: Artur Posenato Garcia (VP Downtown, SPWLA Houston Chapter) ?? Email: [email protected] This seminar is a must-attend for professionals working in reservoir characterization, petrophysics, and those interested in advanced techniques for evaluating unconventional and conventional oil reservoirs. #Petrophysics #OilAndGas #SonicLogs #ReservoirCharacterization #HydrocarbonSaturation #SPWLA #HoustonEvents
