Black women experience significantly higher rates of abuse, sexual assaults, rape and psychological abuse than any other race. We must acknowledge some alarming statistics that highlight the disproportionate impact of Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) on Black women: ??45% of Black women experience domestic violence compared to 33% of all women. ??Black women are 3X more likely than white women to be fatally shot by an intimate partner. ??Younger Black women face the highest risk, being 5X more likely to be fatally shot than their white peers. These aren’t just statistics to us—they’re real people and testaments of resiliency. #SupportSurvivors #EndAbuse #BHM ??Check Out Our New Blog Post: Honoring Black Voices, Empowering Survivors. 1 in 3 teens in the U.S. will experience physical, sexual, or emotional abuse from someone they’re in a relationship with before becoming adults. Healthy relationships are built on respect, trust, and communication. You deserve to be in a relationship that makes you feel safe, happy and loved. #TDVAM??

During a recent leadership session, our team assembled 245 backpacks filled with essential supplies, activities, and motivational cards for children supported by the Houston Area Women's Center, Child Advocates, The Sunshine Kids Foundation, and the Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Houston chapter. These organizations provide critical support to children and families facing challenging times, and we are proud to play a part in their mission. This initiative is a testament to the impact leadership can have beyond the workplace—when we lead with purpose, we create meaningful change in the communities we serve. #OneWeatherford #LeadershipInAction #Community #Weatherford
