The Housing Trust Fund Ventura County is a 501c3 non profit established to help expand affordable and workforce housing in Ventura County. Since 2006, the HTFVC has worked to bring about the development of a regional solution to the insufficient supply of housing that is affordable to local employees and residents throughout Ventura County. The HTFVC supports housing projects that enhance the quality of life and preserve the long-term affordability of housing as a community resource. The Housing Trust Fund Ventura County is a 501c3 non profit established to help expand affordable and workforce housing in Ventura County (prior to Aug. 2019 known as Ventura County Housing Trust Fund). Funds from the Housing Trust Fund will be made available to qualified developer applicants through primarily short-term, low-interest-rate loans for the purpose of creating new affordable housing in Ventura County. Loans will be awarded through an application and underwriting process as funds are available. Priority funding will be given to projects that create homes for veterans, homeless individuals and families, transitional aged youth coming out of foster care, farm workers, and those at the lowest income levels. The Fund began with a $2 million matching grant from Proposition 1C passed by California voters in 2006. The Housing Trust Fund's full $4 million was distributed by early 2017. In 2018, Proposition 1 was approved by California voters and can provide up to $10 million in matching funds to Housing Trust Fund Ventura County for the development of new affordable housing in our community. HTF is currently raising the $10 million match.

72% of extremely low-income older adult households in Ventura County spend more than half their income on housing. This leaves little for essentials like food, healthcare, and transportation. It's time to advocate for affordable housing solutions that support our seniors and help them thrive in our community. #AffordableHousing #SupportSeniors #VenturaCountyHousing
