Since 2004, we have been dedicated to using land use planning, education, and law to ensure that Oregonians of all income levels can obtain adequate and affordable housing. Housing Land Advocates is a 501(c)(3) charitable corporation, and pursue our work as an entirely volunteer-run and -operated organization. Our board of directors is comprised of land use planners, attorneys, lenders, researchers, students, and housing advocates and practitioners with a demonstrated commitment to affordable housing. We bring together policy makers, planners, affordable housing practitioners, and other community members to discuss how land use planning can support Oregon’s affordable housing needs. We serve as an advocate for thoughtful land use planning that aligns with housing policy, and as a watchdog to ensure that state and local governments fulfill their obligations under adopted housing policies, goals, and statutes.

We had a fantastic couple of days at the 2024 Housing Oregon Industry Support Conference! Thanks to the many, many people who watched our presentation, visited our table, and engaged in critical conversations about how we meet our state's housing needs.
We're so excited to be coming back to the Housing Oregon Industry Support Conference on September 24th and 25th! We'll be presenting our workshop "Segregation Alive and Well in Oregon" in the Mt.
