The Housing Authority of San Luis Obispo is committed to building and maintaining affordable housing for citizens in our community. We seek to create safe neighborhoods by partnering with individuals and organizations to provide housing, education and employment opportunities for families of modest means to become self-sufficient and improve their quality of life. Our goal is to provide decent, safe and affordable housing for eligible residents of the County of San Luis Obispo, and to manage the Section 8 program with good, financially sound property management practices. We are committed to serving each Section 8 applicant and participant as well as the entire community in a manner that demonstrates professional courtesy, compassion and respect.

HASLO recently opened this gorgeous 100% affordable housing project in Morro Bay. It is home to 34 families, providing them with support to improve their lives in the very expensive California Central Coast market. Special thanks to the City of Morro Bay, County of San Luis Obispo, Abbott | Reed Inc., National Equity Fund, Inc., Banc of California, and Jim Rendler for their efforts in making this important project a reality.

Special thanks to Cal Poly Arts - the Concert Truck for bringing a classical concert to our residents at Bishop Street Studios. It is such a great program, that offers classical music concerts to non-traditional audiences. Bishop Street Studios, a partnership between HASLO and Transitions-Mental Health Association, houses SLO County residents with mental illness issues, promoting recovery and wellness for all residents. The residents absolutely loved the concert!

Great team work in getting another affordable housing project off the ground in SLO County!
What an amazing Groundbreaking today! Together, we're building a brighter future for families, farmworkers, and those in need of stable housing. Today, the Groundbreaking for Cleaver & Clark Commons took place in the city of Grover Beach. Cleaver & Clark Commons is a 53 unit development ranging from one to three bedrooms, including dedicated space for families, farmworkers, and those at-risk of homelessness in SLO County. The San Luis Obispo County Housing Trust Fund proudly provided $1.1 million towards this vital project, alongside grant funds from HCD LHTF and Grover Beach PLHA.
