Carrying a total debt of **$3,700**, she felt the weight of financial insecurity. But through **hard work, dedication, and the support of our program**, she has transformed her financial future. Today, as she prepares to graduate, she has only **$800 left to pay off**—a huge accomplishment. Even more inspiring, she has built an **impressive $4,200 in savings**, proving that financial stability is within reach with the right tools and determination. Her journey didn’t stop there. When she started, her **credit score was in the 600s**, but through **responsible financial management**, she has increased it by **73 points**. Additionally, her commitment to personal and professional growth has led to **two well-deserved raises and a bonus**, boosting her income and confidence. A Story of Hope and Transformation At House of Refuge, we witness incredible journeys of resilience every day. One of our program participants recently shared how life-changing this experience has been for her and her three children. *"Without this program, my three children and I would have had nowhere to call home. From sleeping on a friend’s couch to finally having a place to call our own, the support from House of Refuge has been life-changing. With the guidance of my case managers, I developed an action plan, step by step, and began rebuilding my life. The program provided essential donations—food, clothing, and household supplies—and the most touching moment was seeing my children light up with joy as they received gifts from generous donors. Through this experience, I’ve learned discipline, how to manage my finances, and how to keep pushing toward my goals. Without this program, I honestly don’t know how I would have made it.
