In the era of AI, the art of translation is evolving at an unprecedented pace. While machine translation offers speed and convenience, the true essence of translation lies in understanding nuance, culture, and emotion – elements that only human translators can capture. ? On this International Translation Day, let's celebrate the artistry of translation and honor the indispensable work of language professionals who connect communities and promote understanding across cultures. ? #InternationalTranslationDay #ITD #LanguageMatters #ProtectTranslation #ArtofTranslation

Today, we celebrate Juneteenth, a day that is not just a celebration of freedom, but also a reminder that the fight for equality continues. As we take time to reflect on the struggles and triumphs of the past, let's honor those who have worked so hard for progress, by recommitting ourselves to creating a world where justice and equity prevail for all.

Thank you for representing us so well, Karolina! We couldn't have a better person leading our translation team.
Thrilled to have attended this year’s New England Translators Association Conference at UMass Boston! It’s always such an enriching experience to be surrounded by passionate language professionals from diverse backgrounds. From insightful panels led by esteemed industry experts to thought-provoking discussions on the latest trends and innovations in translation technology, the conference not only provided valuable insights but also great networking opportunities. Thank you, House of Languages, for this great opportunity, and for the continued support and investment in my professional development and growth.

Financial literacy is so crucial for those who are new to our communities. We were delighted to assist with the Bangor Savings Bank Financial Wellness Series held at the Greater Portland Immigrant Welcome Center, with the goal of enhancing New Mainers' knowledge of the key aspects of personal finance and budgeting.

The Globalization and Localization Association (GALA) annual conference kicked off today in Valencia. As always, GALA's conference program is outstanding and the social events are the best in the industry. The theme this year is "Navigating the Rise of AI: Dos and Don'ts, Myths and Truths for a New AI-Assisted Localization Industry". I counted, and at least 20 of 50+ sessions have an AI in the title. I am eager to learn how this can be applied to our work in Maine. #gala2024 Michael Yepanov Arup Ratan Deb Roy Rick Hersom
