Since 1996, House & Robertson Architects, Inc., has performed a distinctive role in the local architecture community by specializing exclusively in the provision of executive architectural services, working in collaboration with a variety of noted design firms. Our sole focus and unique culture allow us to operate efficiently and to take a flexible approach to tackling unusual challenges. By combining our experience and technical expertise with the talent of top design offices, we excel at providing high quality buildings for our clients. Our primary goal is effective project delivery. We take a no-nonsense approach to getting our projects built, and our track record proves it – principals Jim House and Doug Robertson have jointly overseen more than fifteen-million square feet of construction with a total cost of over a billion dollars. This success is due to fruitful collaboration with sophisticated clients and distinguished designers. Through our extensive experience as executive architect, we have developed strategies for working with owners and designers to get the best results – high-performance architecture, painlessly achieved. We build all over, but Los Angeles is our home and our specialty. The NBCUniversal Campus Project, designed by LEVER and Field Operations, is a transformation of the Universal Studios Lot into a 21st century creative campus. The project’s synthesis of inspiring new architecture and landscapes establishes a campus heart and renewed sense of place on the historic lot. ? ? LEVER designed two new buildings as part of the target LEED Platinum project. ? The Commons, whose circular form echoes early animation’s zoetropes, is an 84,000-square-foot gathering space with a dining hall, state-of-the-art theater, two screening rooms, and a rooftop event center. ? One Universal is a 350,000-square-foot, 11-story office building with a full floor of shared amenities to encourage community and collaboration within the context of a high-rise building. ? Both buildings open to new landscapes by Field Operations that activate the campus with lawns, tree-lined promenades, and outdoor workspaces. ? The project was realized in collaboration with many including House & Robertson Architects, Hathaway Dinwiddie, and Studio Shamshiri among others. Santa Monica, California A former tow yard is now a grounding element in a developing creative district. It was a pleasure to collaborate with the City of Santa Monica Architectural Review Board and Field Operations to develop a project that honors and reinforces the unique urban conditions along Euclid Street. Now furnished by the beautiful work of Alma Allen, the resulting street facing courtyard is a public space that we hope imbeds itself in the community in years to come. Congratulations to our team on the completion of this 70,000 sq/ft ground up structure, our largest to date. @fieldoperations @almaallen @cwdrivercompanies
