    Right before the end of 2024, we shot the book trailer for the newest novel from best selling author Shelby Mahurin, The Shadow Bride. After some time in post production, it has finally released! If it looks familiar, its because it is the sequel to The Scarlet Veil which we also produced the trailer for (it was even played in Times Square for a while)! While we shot The Scarlet Veil at our in house studio, we rented a larger studio space in Atlanta to bring Célie’s dream world to life.     Details matter. And the success of your campaigns can hinge on elements that might seem insignificant, but have a massive impact on results. One of the details our team always includes in client engagements is the delivery of a thumbnail for each piece of video collateral. The thumbnail image is a small piece of the collateral package we deliver to clients, but it can make or break the performance of the campaign online. The thumbnail is your video's first impression with your audience; it's the hook, and pretty much the deciding factor for whether someone decides to click play. And when you don't select a thumbnail for videos uploaded to third party platforms (like LinkedIn), software selects a random frame from the content and includes that as your thumbnail image. That frame could be a random clip of b-roll footage, or an unflattering expression from your on-camera talent. A random frame from your video does nothing to communicate what the video is about or why it’s worth watching. See the image below as an example from my timeline today. What does it say about this video? Do you know what it's about? Does the image compel you to click play? I think I know the answer. So when your thumbnail fails to engage your audience, potential viewers scroll right past, missing not just your video, but their entry point into your conversion funnel, which ultimately appears as disappointing ROI from your campaign investment.
