241 years ago the 1st manned hot air balloon ride took flight! 🎈 Today we celebrate Montgolfier Day, when on this day in 1783 the Montgolfier brothers sent the first humans aloft in their hot air balloon ☁ The 1st balloon ride lasted 25 mins, traveled just over 5 miles, and ascended to 3,000 ft 🧭 Today we pay homage to these aviation pioneers who dared to dream + reach for the skies ☀
