We are happy and proud to share that we just had our Annual Event for Hospital For Hope ,September 10th of 2022. We are five volunteers in the USA who have been working together for 20 years, with a global village of 350,000 followers. We are developing a self-sustainable hospital in an extremely under-served area of the Indian state of Jharkhand. This rural area lacks access to a capable health facility despite the strong prevalence of malaria, typhoid, tuberculosis and dysentery as well as high infant mortality rates. We exist to serve and support this resilient community. Our team was originally started at Stanford 20 years ago, today there are 5 of us based in Silicon Valley who have otherwise full-time careers. We have been written in a book, spoken at 3 TEDxes, and been honored by the World Economic Forum.

Commitment + Community = Change Annual Reception for Hospital For Hope (https://hospitalforhope.org) capping at 100 people over hors d'oeuvres Sat Sep 14,?5-7pm at the Los Altos Community Center 97 Hillview Ave, Los Altos, CA, USA During college a group of us volunteered in villages on the other side of the world. None of us were born or raised anywhere nearby, all of us felt the need to do something. Crowd-funding became our answer before it became a common word. A local organization, on the ground for 50 years and among other things running 10 schools, became our partners. Alongside them, we helped build a library, a high school lab and eventually a hospital serving a community of 100,000 people. Since then projects have included improving water and energy (through solar panels), achieving a 100% model (everything raised goes to the people on the ground) and opening a dentistry clinic run by an alumnus?of the local schools. Our core team of five are all unpaid volunteers with their own careers and families, working together for over two decades. Now in the Hospital's 11th year of operation, we are continuing a tradition of congregating and celebrating other dreamer-doers, especially within Silicon Valley.
