Alzheimer's Awareness Month in November aims to increase awareness for the 6.9 million Americans affected by this disease. You can get involved in the Go Teal initiative by wearing teal, sharing information, and spreading awareness. Did you know Alzheimer's is a progressive brain condition rather than a natural part of aging? More than 11 million caregivers provide an astounding 18.4 billion hours of unpaid care annually. Early detection and caregiver support can make a significant difference. Together, we can inspire hope and work toward a cure. #AlzheimersAwarenessMonth #GoTeal #EndAlz #CaregiverSupport #BrainHealth #EarlyDetectionMatters #InspireHope #WorkingTowardACure

The 2nd Annual Gridiron Games, held by Hospice of Alabama Rainsville during August and September, concluded with Team CC claiming the victory! The winners celebrated with an indoor tailgate, courtesy of the rain. We want to express our thanks to Wingstop in Fort Payne for the savory wings and sides as well as Publix in Scottsboro for the delicious, sweet treats! Pictured from the winning team are Terry, Susan, Laney, and Allison. Not pictured are Deb, Brenda, and Cynthia. Today is World Diabetes Day—a time to raise awareness, support early diagnosis, and stand with those impacted by diabetes. This year’s theme centers on access to quality diabetes care, highlighting the need for comprehensive support beyond physical health. Living with diabetes requires resilience, organization, and responsibility, affecting both physical and mental well-being. A recent global survey by the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) shows that 77% of people with diabetes have experienced anxiety, depression, or another mental health condition related to their condition. Additionally, 4 in 5 individuals report experiencing diabetes burnout, and 75% want more emotional and mental health support from their healthcare providers. This November 14 let’s prioritize well-being in diabetes care and strive to ensure everyone can manage their health and live fully. #WorldDiabetesDay #DiabetesAwareness #DiabetesLife Source: https://lnkd.in/dcJMsBe
