Last week, our very own Chaplain April Long was honored as a nominee at the Harrell Funeral Homes Caregiver of the Year banquet! Nominated by the families she has so lovingly served; April’s impact was reflected in the heartfelt words they shared about her. To celebrate her dedication, a special name plaque was created with words most often used to describe her—compassionate, supportive, caring—just to name a few. We are beyond grateful to have April on our team, bringing comfort and kindness to our patients and families. At Hospice Austin, our holistic approach to hospice and palliative care includes a team of dedicated chaplains who provide emotional and spiritual support to patients and their families. Whether offering a listening ear, words of comfort, or simply being present, they are here to walk alongside you during life’s most tender moments.
