Providing Exceptional Family-Centered Care in our Community since 1980.
关于我们
Hospice of Washington County, Inc. was established in 1980 for the sole purpose of lending support to those facing a terminal illness and their families. A core of caring citizens of Washington County, Maryland gathered to see how they could offer their time and talents to help share the burden of a serious illness for their neighbors. Over the past thirty years, Hospice of Washington County developed into a full service hospice with two doctors, registered nurses, certified nursing assistants, professional social workers and spiritual care providers in addition to our many dedicated volunteers. Because of the Irving M. Einbinder Charitable Foundation’s generosity, Hospice of Washington County is able to have a state-of-the art Simulation Lab. This is one of the few dedicated end-of-life hospice simulation labs in the U.S. The lab includes highly innovative tools and resources in a setting that mimics a fully furnished, real-life patient bedroom featuring a Lifecast Manikin. Equipped for Life donated the bed, wheelchair, and oxygen concentrator. We thank them for their contributions which will directly impact the lives of our patients by ensuring that our caregivers are equipped with the highest level of expertise and empathy. Together, we can ensure that every patient receives the comfort and dignity they deserve during their final journey. Call anytime for an evaluation, (301) 791-6360.

Hospice of Washington County and its Vet-to-Vet committee wish all men and women on active duty and retired from the Naval Reserve a very Happy Birthday. The motto “ready now, anytime, anywhere” has been defined many times as the Reserves have served in every global conflict since WW2. In addition, the Reserves have been there when called for humanitarian relief when needed. Thank you for your service and sacrifice to keep not only this country free, but also to respond to our allies in times of need. Celebrate with pride and commitment. If you are a veteran and are interested in volunteering with the HWC’s Vet-to-Vet program, or in any other volunteer programs, please call (301) 791-6360 or email [email protected].

We would like to thank all The Jennifer Fund Fundraiser participants for showing their support over the weekend. Hospice of Washington County’s Jennifer Fund has been there to ease that burden, providing support in many ways including helping with rent and utility bills, buying groceries, covering travel costs for specialized medical care, tolls and gas costs, supporting daycare for siblings, and providing medical equipment for comfort at home. As the need has grown, The Jennifer Fund has expanded its mission, including longtime support for Hospice of Washington County’s DoveTales program, which helps children cope with grief and loss. If you would like to donate to this fund, please visit https://lnkd.in/g4cwQRJh.
