A Legacy of Caring

关于我们

Hospice of the Valley is a recognized leader in hospice care, committed to setting the standard of excellence for end-of-life care. We serve patients and families in central Arizona, including Maricopa and northern Pinal counties. Since our founding in 1977, our mission has remained the same: bringing comfort and dignity as life nears its end. Hospice of the Valley, one of the nation's largest not-for-profit hospices, is known for innovative programs and clinical excellence, including: - 24/7 on-duty care—never an answering service. - Arizona Palliative Home Care, which serves patients with late-stage chronic illnesses who aren’t on hospice but could be soon. - Award-winning clinical staff and leadership. - Education programs that teach professionals and the public about quality end-of-life care. - Individualized care and support to specific communities, including veterans, Hispanics and faith groups. Hospice of the Valley is an equal employment opportunity employer and offers a supportive work environment, professional growth opportunities and excellent salary and benefits. We offer employment opportunities ranging from direct patient care to administrative and IT positions. We seek employees who are technically skilled, possess superior interpersonal skills and wish to contribute to our culture of caring. Join our team at: https://hov.org/careers/available-positions

We're so grateful to the Arizona Cardinals for helping our New Song Enduring Ties program honor Children’s Grief Awareness Month. The team’s fabulous cheerleaders and cool mascot participated in a fun evening of tribute to support youngsters as they shared beautiful memories of their loved ones. New Song Center for Grieving Children is a Hospice of the Valley program that offers free support groups and family-friendly activities to support the healing journey. Info: newsongcenter.org

Our Dementia Care and Education Center team was delighted to join the 2024 Fall Festival of the Arcadia Osborn Neighborhood Association and share helpful community resources. Thanks to everyone who represented our beautiful campus: dementia activities coordinator Davenna Winn, education coordinator Celestina Duran, volunteer Luci Kauffman and our awesome Adult Day Club member, Rich, and his wife Susan.

Huge thanks to Hospice of the Valley volunteers and pro card makers Dodie Busch (left), Cheri Tuma and Kristine Black (not pictured) for collecting over 700 beautiful handmade greeting cards at the 2024 Fall Mesa Stamping Convention. The trio also signed up 84 card crafters from around the country to make greeting cards for our patients and families, encouraging and supporting them on their journey.

We had a fun and lively ribbon-cutting celebration for Hospice of the Valley's partnership with the amazing Valley of the Sun YMCA, which now has a Y-Academy at our Dementia Care and Education Campus. The joyful interaction between these cute preschoolers and our Adult Day Club members can be described in one word: magical! To schedule a tour, contact Sara Meins at [email protected] or visit dementiacampus.org.
