Meet Mackenzie, Hospice CNA in Guthrie Center, IA! Mackenzie has been part of the Hospice of the Midwest team for two years. Although she loves everything about her job, her favorite part would have to be doing nails and cutting hair for her ladies or taking patients out on bucket list outings! To her, hospice is special because it helps the patient and family focus on the quality of the days left with comfort and dignity. For anyone considering a career in hospice, Mackenzie says, “Do it! Hospice is great if you are looking to spend more one-on-one time with patients. It also allows you to meet so many amazing people!” In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends the most! She also enjoys quilting, crocheting, scrapbooking, and cooking/baking. She and her fiancé, Jay, have two dogs; and together, the enjoy cheering on Iowa and Iowa State during college football season. Thank you for sharing a bit about yourself, Mackenzie! We are proud to have you on our team!
