Hospice East Bay was honored to participate in the Veterans Day Ceremony at Carlton Senior Living in Pleasant Hill. About 35 veterans and their spouses were recognized by our team members Noga, Kristen, and several dedicated Veteran Volunteers. The event featured beautiful music, with a resident pianist and a special performance by our music therapist, Sarah. At Hospice East Bay, we are proud to offer specialized, Veteran-Centered Care, ensuring that those who have given so much receive the compassionate support they deserve. #HEBproud #HEBveterans

Veterans Program Manager, Noga Welner-Kessler, MSW, was invited to present at Kaiser Permanente Bereavement Speaker Series this Thursday as a subject area expert in Veteran-Centered Care, discussing grief, loss, and the unique healing journeys of Veterans following their military service. Through their journeys, Veterans may struggle with combat-related psychological wounds of war, which may often be the hidden costs of service that need to be better recognized and understood.
