You own a business doing less than $10M in revenue. You keep wondering why your bookkeeping is mediocre and you can’t get much value from your numbers. You think you need a new bookkeeper. Or better yet, you’ve heard about this fancy new thing called a “Fractional CFO.” Yeah...maybe you need a fCFO (this is what the cool kids call it). Say it with me: “I don’t need a bookkeeper.” “I don’t need a fCFO.” What do you actually need? You need financial insights and guidance to grow. Period. Is bookkeeping necessary for that? Absolutely. Will a fCFO help? Maybe, maybe not. What’s absolutely true, though, either way is that you actually need both. A bookkeeper by him/herself won’t do the trick.
