Meet Brian Lish, a Professional Land Surveyor in our Idaho Falls, Idaho, office.? In his role as a land surveyor, Brian determines the exact locations of property and boundary lines to help with project planning. One of his favorite parts of his job is searching for old boundary markings dating back to as late as the 1800s, like carvings in rocks and corner stones. Brian loves to hike and be outdoors, and he enjoys that those activities are a part of his field. Another hobby Brian has is photography – swipe to the end to see some of the photos he’s taken! Brian’s supervisor, Kelly Hoopes, shared, “Brian is a very hard-working team member that is always looking for ways to improve his deliverables.? At Horrocks, the connections and contributions we make in our local communities are important to us. The Bridal Veil Falls project in Provo, Utah, is one that our teams are proud to take part in to improve a beloved and iconic recreational treasure in Provo Canyon. This project will prioritize accessibility, safety, and user experience for the falls, hiking trails, and neighboring parks. Following the Progressive Design-Build delivery method, Horrocks as the designer is working closely with?S&L Inc.. and?Utah County Government, the contractor and owner, respectively, to mitigate project risks, facilitate construction phasing needs, and identify options that provide the highest value within the project funding. The Clearfield Station Transit-Oriented Development is on the move, and last Tuesday, officials and media were invited to tour the progress! This long-awaited project is one of the three development initiatives around the Utah Transit Authority’s FrontRunner stops in northern Utah.
