As a quick reminder, changes to the overtime law go into effect on July 1st, 2024. Under the updated law, the new floor for salary-exempt employees will be raised to $43,888 annually and then increase to $58,656 annually in January 2025. (Currently, the salary floor is $35,568 annually.) This means most salaried employees earning less than $844 per week will become eligible for overtime pay under the final rule.
