The Rylan, a multi-family residential building in Tysons, VA, within walking distance to the McLean Metro Station, is a piece of the new masterplan transforming a vehicular driven suburban environment into a vibrant, pedestrian oriented community with a mix of uses. ?? The building design is split into two distinct architectural languages: a contemporary residential entry adjacent to the primary street entrance, and a warm and rich palette for the upper levels to create the signature fa?ade. Our landscape architecture team collaborated with our architecture team and the development team to design a variety of beautiful exterior spaces including the streetscape, a bike trail, rooftop amenities, patio, and outdoor lounge at the Matson Mill community in Conshohocken, PA. A variety of levels, paving materials, seasonal plantings, and outdoor structures provide a compelling experience and connection to nature and the architecture. Yet another award is in the books for HCM - this time for the Hydro Building on the CSU Spur campus in Denver, CO. The Hydro building lobby earned a silver award in the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Crystal Awards program. ?? The Hydro building offers a unique experience in a one-of-a-kind facility. Inspired by the flowing nature of water, the building features a large entry lobby, connecting three levels via a spiral “river eddy” stair to a bridge on the 3rd floor.
