HopePHL (pronounced Hopeful) is a newly formed social service organization for families, youth, and young children, experiencing or at risk of homelessness in Philadelphia. HopePHL was formed from two separate, but well known, social service organizations, People’s Emergency Center (PEC), and Youth Service, Inc (YSI), with 150 years of combined service experience. We provide a suite of programs, including: housing, advocacy and trauma-responsive social services that promote equity, resilience, autonomy and well-being, so people who need our services can achieve their goals, whether it’s a new home, a first job, enrolling in school, finding childcare, etc. Learn More at https://bit.ly/HopePHLInfo

Yesterday, HopePHL, Valley Youth House, Eddie's House, and Philly Homes 4 Youth hosted a symposium that addressed the pressing issue of youth homelessness. The panel included participants from each organization who shared their personal experiences with an audience of over 85 attendees, aiming to inspire others to advocate for the renewal of funding that supports students and families facing homelessness. The Neighborhood Advisory Committee hosted a lively Pop-Up Resource Fair, bringing residents together for city services, legal aid, and fun at the "Show Some Love Photo Booth." With support from Community Legal Services, attendees received guidance on utility shut-offs, renters' rights, and property deeds.
