Some days, the work calendar doesn't quite work out like it was set at the start of the day. Today, I ended up unexpectedly at my desk, eating my smoothie bowl and getting through mail. Today's included patient surveys from people we have the opportunity to serve at Hope Cancer Resources. Highlights included: "Everyone is so very friendly and helpful. They make you so comfortable. They treat you like family... the worker made me feel like I was worth saving and helping, and that made a big difference for me." "When facing breast cancer and the loss of part-time work, Hope Cancer is helping me see that I will not be financially devastated!" "I am so grateful for your services during my fight against cancer. Without your transportation, I would not be able to participate in available medical care." "Having contact [with HCR] has been a Godsend and I do believe God has handpicked these angels. I know they can't help with the cure for my cancer, but they sure make it a lot easier having this cancer. Thank you for the bottom of our hearts." I'm thankful for our team, the generosity of the community, and for the trust placed in us to steward resources in serving our neighbors here in NWA. And I'm thankful that I now get to be a part of it.
