Wow, we had such a great time last Friday as we “RESET” at PRCAcon 2024! ?? We hope everyone enjoyed the day and gained some valuable information, education and made some new professional connections.
Our day kicked off with a bang as Dr. Rodger Morrison taught us all about the Tic-Tac-Toe Analysis #?? method as a new approach to reset the way we conduct SWOT analysis.
After that, Haley Kintner, M.Ed reminded us all that “a reset is not a setback” and shared how we must improvise, adapt and overcome to be successful. ??
Next, Ilka V. Wilson Vallee provided a great visual example of ways to reset, by holding up water bottles, then passing them to others when you needed assistance. She also shared a helpful acronym for RESET: Reflect, Evaluate, Strategize, Empower, and Transform. ??
Tiffany Chaney closed out our workshop by discussing ways to reset our thinking about diversity, equity and inclusion when it comes to advertising and promotions in our organizations and businesses. ??
We were especially grateful for all of the local nonprofit representatives who joined us last week.?? In between sessions, we got to learn about what their organizations do to help serve our community and how we can get involved. They included: Heart of Alabama Food Bank, Quiet Storm, SUM Unlimited, The Grove MGM, Girls on the Run, Hope Inspired Ministries (HIM), Service Dogs of Alabama, Aid To Inmate Mothers Inc, Brantwood Children’s Home & River Region United Way. ??
Check out these photos from our incredible day. ?? Special thanks to PRCA member and VP of Programs Caleb Hicks with Old Oak Creative for providing headshots and event photos. (The link to headshots has been emailed to all attendees.) We’d also like to thank Kreative Moments for the fun, awesome balloon displays! ??
THANK YOU to all our attendees, speakers, non-profit organizations & sponsors! It was an AMAZING day, and we’re already excited about PRCAcon 2025!
