Our staff had a delightful time crafting kindness cards this week! We were able to hand-make and personalize cards for our clients to show them our support ???? These cards are given to clients anytime they might need a little boost, like when they're going to court or are having a tough day??

For Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month (TDVAM), we wanted to repost such an important episode of ours from last year's #IlluminatingHope podcast season. These three voices: ? Podcast Host - Tina ? Board Member - Jaime ? Anonymous Local Teen share their personal experiences and those they have witnessed around them on domestic violence. They discuss how to spot red flags and how vital it is to exemplify green flags, too, to promote healthy adolescent relationships and prevent the cycle of abuse from continuing on. Teen Dating Violence can happen to anyone. According to the CDC, 1 in 12 teenagers in the U.S. experienced physical dating violence, and 1 in 10 experienced sexual dating violence. Abusive behavior in adolescent relationships may include, but is not limited to: ? gaslighting ? name-calling ? excessive texting or monitoring ? coercion ? unwanted physical contact These signs intertwine and precede domestic violence; but, with care and attention, we can watch for these signs and watch out for each other.
