When you realize that impactful learning, engaging learning, and learning that is for more than an audience of one with a purpose to improve the lives of others, that's what it's all about! This past learning unit, HOPE Academy 5th Grade Students learned about severe weather, weathering the storms of life, and how God can work through all these things. While researching types of weather and preparing their newscasts, they were presented with a real-life opportunity to help families and people affected by Hurricane Helene in Western North Carolina by collecting items for donation and even traveling to serve on the ground as a family. One of the best parts of Project-Based Learning is the ability to apply knowledge to volunteer opportunities and improve someone else's life. Many of the projects at HOPE Academy from Kindergarten to 12th grade have a component that allows our students and families to be a part of something bigger than themselves and have a Kingdom impact.
