The HCRN SOLARA study, known as BRE18-360, evaluates the safety and effectiveness of focused radiation therapy (radiosurgery) together with olaparib, followed by immunotherapy, for patients with brain metastases from triple negative or BRCA-mutated breast cancers. The study is currently open to accrual at Cleveland Clinic Cancer Center, Duke Cancer Institute, Memorial Breast Cancer Center at Memorial Regional Hospital, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and University of North Carolina Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. Last Friday marked the 4th Annual IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center #EndLungCancerNow Gathering! The event featured three keynote speakers, each sharing unique and meaningful insights about lung cancer. Eric Singhi of MD Anderson Cancer Center shared a presentation covering the landscape, importance, challenges, and future directions of lung cancer research. Brian Stemme, CEO of HCRN, addressed the common barriers to clinical trial participation in his presentation and discussed ways to tackle these obstacles. Jill Feldman, patient advocate and co-founder of EGFR Resisters, presented on the impact of patient perspectives in lung cancer research. She provided valuable insights into patients' thoughts and feelings throughout their lung cancer journey. Following the presentations, each keynote speaker engaged with attendees in “special teams.” Brian Stemme led the team focusing on research operations, joined by fellow HCRN team members Christy Yoder, Lisa Wood, and Gabrielle Tiggs, MHA, PMP. HCRN is proud to have been part of this impactful event, working together to #EndLungCancerNow!

Bachelor’s degree, paralegal training, or relevant associate degree and at least three years’ experience drafting and negotiating contracts which include indemnification provisions, confidentiality provisions, insurance provisions, intellectual property rights and provisions involving regulatory compliance are required. HCRN is an independent nonprofit organization with a network of clinical sites created for the purpose of conducting oncology studies. HCRN serves as the contract research organization for early phase, multi-center, investigator-initiated clinical trials developed by investigators within its network. HCRN collaborates with 450+ academic and community clinical research sites across the United States to develop and conduct innovative cancer research.
