Nothing less than inspired and honored to be a part of the #BreakthroughEnergy family. This week, Scott Collins, PhD and I were thrilled to attend the #BESummit24 in London and to showcase the groundbreaking work our team is doing at Hoofprint Biome. After spending this time among incredible innovators, investors, policy makers, and philanthropists, it’s hard not to be optimistic about the future of climate tech.

Twynam is excited to announce our investment in Hoofprint Biome! Enteric methane (methane released by livestock) accounts for 11-17% of global emissions. This will only grow as global meat and dairy consumption booms. Hoofprint are developing a probiotic that releases enzymes in a cow’s stomach to cut methane emissions while also improving animal health, productivity and nutrition. By using a probiotic yeast, Hoofprint can offer a product that is scalable, affordable, and increases farm profitability. We’re ‘bullish’ on Hoofprint Biome because their solution is long-lasting, unaffected by growers supply chain and they have the unique ability to rapidly iterate. Feeding cows just a mouthful of Hoofprint’s probiotic yeast could help prevent methane emissions and decarbonise a big part of agriculture’s emissions. ??
