Each year, the Honnold Foundation's open call for proposals brings far more applications than we have capacity to fund. This year was no exception. We've heard from nearly 450 prospective grantee partners around the world, representing over $40 million in funding requests. Just 2% of US philanthropy goes to climate solutions – and even less towards the people most affected. Meanwhile, as the world continues to move towards a renewable-powered future, communities who stand the most to benefit are being left out of these investments.
