Valentine’s Day arrived early this year for us, besties. Thank you for the role you’ve played in delivering us something sweet ?? January has already been a month — mentally, emotionally, professionally and beyond — and we’re not even halfway through. But we’re honored to be able to celebrate this little milestone today. The Beauty Brief has officially surpassed 8,000 followers on LinkedIn. The founders of The Beauty Brief, Bethany and Shiri, experienced incredible highs and lows for the duration of 2024. But the support from fellow beauty industry professionals, brands and founders, and just genuine beauty lovers, has left us so appreciative and encouraged to keep up what we set out to do with this platform, even when it’s gotten hard. We are so grateful to ALL of you. And we can’t wait to continue serving up all the beauty industry tea, brand features, and a few other surprises along the way, too. From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU. And here’s to what we hope will be a more beautiful year ahead for each and every one of us. In the news this AM chatting about the opportunity for brands to hop on the Wicked train in a great piece by Nicole Kirichanskaya for Inside Retail US. An effective way to engage your audience is by connecting your brand with a significant moment that’s happening in pop culture. For example, SKIMS is notorious for capitalizing on this by featuring of-the-moment individuals in their campaigns in a super timely manner. The way that Barbie leveraged endless collaborations and partnerships for the movie is a perfect example of this. Mattel, Inc. is still going too with a brand new collab in the beauty space featuring a limited edition collection with Patrick Ta Beauty. Even though the movie release has long passed, Barbie is forever. Wicked is an amazing opportunity to reach new audiences and continue to provide entertainment as a brand through savvy strategy this fall. My favorite Wicked-centric collab so far is from Beekman 1802 with its all pink and green collection representing Glinda and Elphaba.
