“HomeState’s menu could be considered an anthology of Texan folk remedies, from plates of eggy migas, to strong coffee, to Frito pies served steaming in the bag, but on fuzzy mornings, the breakfast tacos may be everything you remember and everything you still crave”- Jonathan Gold DEC 29, 2017 We’ve been sharing our best version of food from our home state of Texas since December, 2013. Our flour tortillas are made to order, by hand, and served hot off the comal, etc. Our brisket, queso and salsas; are made from whole foods, in-house, every day. Our locations in Hollywood and Highland Park are filled with friendly people, great music and a Playa Vista location is slated to open in March, 2019.

I am looking forward to this next chapter, with Eric’s operational guidance, to continue building upon our foundation, and strengthen our commitment to our core values and live up to our vision”, said HomeState founder and CEO, Briana Valdez With almost 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Eric Paulucci has a history of helping small companies blossom. Prior to signing on with HomeState, Eric served as the Director of Operations for Jamba Juice, VP Global Operations for Pinkberry, VP of Operations of Sweetgreen and VP of Retail Operations for Salt & Straw, supporting their growth from early days. “I was first introduced to Briana and HomeState in 2020. Shortly after meeting, I made additional visits to a few of the restaurants as I was so impressed by the warm hospitality I received as a guest, as well as the impeccable quality of the food. Now, almost 5 years later, I am both humbled and honored to be a part of the HomeState team. I believe we have an incredible future ahead of us, and I feel so grateful to be invited to be a part of this journey. "Our vendors are all under the same pressures that we are -- they're all fighting to keep their relationships intact with their restaurants -- but their costs are all going up as well," Valdez pointed out. "So as restaurants, we're on the last end of all those commodities and markets that have come before us," such as farmers, harvest labor, transit of crops, food storage, packing, and distribution.
