We are continuing to grow our operations as we phase in the Global Household Goods Contract (GHC)! ? Starting this month, US Transportation Command is expanding local GHC shipments to 21 additional military installations across 13 states and the District of Columbia. This brings the total number of GHC-live locations to 74 installations across the continental United States. ? In October, Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi was added to our ever-growing list of GHC-live locations! This marks the first time the GHC has served military members and their families in the Magnolia State. In addition to Keesler AFB, we are eager to serve others in the state as our GHC-live locations expand to new horizons. Howdy, Texas! In October, multiple military installations in Texas were added to our ever-growing list of GHC-live locations! In addition to Ellington Field JRB, Fort Bliss, Fort Cavazos, JB San Antonio, Laughlin AFB, and Sheppard AFB, we are eager to serve others in the state as our GHC-Live locations expand to new horizons. Beginning this month, we are expanding our service areas and introducing new “Power Lanes.” ? Our new "Power Lanes" will move interstate shipments to and from each region along 13 new routes across 13 states.? ? We launched our first “Power Lanes” in September, moving military families across the country. At HomeSafe Alliance, we come from all walks of life but come together as one team. Meet Schawana Ruffin, one of our Customer CARE Specialists. In this role, she assists service members when they reach out with questions about their move process with HomeSafe. Schawana joined HomeSafe in May 2024. Prior to that, she served 20 years in the Air Force in traffic management where she retired as a Flight Chief before taking on the civilian role of Passenger Travel Specialist. “I joined HomeSafe to be a part of the new innovative moving process, which makes it less stressful and more user-friendly for military members and their families,” Schawana said. Schawana earned her associate’s degree in applied science in transportation and logistics from the Community College of the Air Force. She then earned two bachelor’s degrees in social psychology and criminal justice administration from Park University. Outside of her work, Schawana is passionate about spending time with her children and making lasting memories. “I want to foster a positive difference in how we move household goods for military members and their families,” Schawana said. ---- #HomeSafe #HomeSafeAlliance #PCS #MilitaryMoves #GHC?
