Cesar Chavez dedicated his life to fighting for the rights and dignity of farmworkers, co-founding the?United Farm Workers (UFW)?in 1962. The UFW became the first successful farmworker union in American history, advocating for better wages, safer working conditions, and protections from exploitation. Through peaceful protests, strikes, and boycotts, Chavez and the UFW helped secure essential rights for the people who put food on our tables. To honor this legacy, join us for?Cesar Chavez Day?at the?Homeless Garden Project farm?on?Saturday, April 5th.
