This year Max's Kicks for Kids generously donated 75 pairs of brand-new sneakers that were distributed at our recent holiday event, and we couldn't be more grateful! Goodbye, Darla...we will miss you. Our Home of the Sparrow family has said goodbye to one of our own, who left the nest early this week. After 22 years of distinguished service to the women and children of Chester County battling homelessness, Darla Nutter retired. Hers has been a career that has seen this nonprofit grow, change, and pivot. And she has been an integral part of many, many successes transforming lives and bringing hope to women and children. A truly caring lady, Darla leaves us for a new adventure with her husband Roger by her side with a huge smile knowing that her work here at Home of the Sparrow is done. We know we will hear from her and see her again! There are few words to convey the depth of our gratitude and devotion to Darla. She will be missed but we are so happy to see her joy as her new journey begins. Thank you Darla. May you always have wind beneath your wings, and Home of the Sparrow in your heart.
