We would like to take the opportunity to reintroduce ourselves. We are Phil & Michelle Nunn from Home Helpers Home Care of Carmel.?We help seniors and those with disabilities remain as independent as possible wherever they call home. ? We opened Home Helpers in 2018 and our mission is “Making Life Easier” Which is what we strive to do each and everyday for both clients and their families. We care for you and your loved one how we would expect someone to care for ours. ? When we are not helping serve our senior community, we enjoy golfing with our friends and spending time with our family.?Our son will graduate high school this year and our daughter will be entering her senior year at IU. We are preparing ourselves to be empty nesters. ? A big thank you to Wellbrooke of Carmel for allowing us to be a part of their 1950s themed bingo night! We were thrilled to donate a 1950s movie gift basket to add to the fun for their residents and families. We are truly grateful for our community partners and the incredible work they do to bring joy and engagement to the seniors they serve!

Happy Birthday to our Executive Director, Steve Gibson! Being a leap year baby, he deserves an extra special celebration. What better way to celebrate than cookies with his childhood picture on them! We are so grateful for everything Steve does, and we enjoyed watching his reaction to his surprise today. We hope you have another amazing year; we couldn't do it without you!

Valentine’s Day is all about showing appreciation, and we couldn’t let the week pass without celebrating the incredible referral partners who make a difference every day. What really stood out was the genuine care they have for their residents. It’s clear they go above and and beyond to create an environment where people feel valued and supported. It’s always refreshing to connect with others who truly put people first!

Congratulations to our January Caregiver of the Month, Bob! Bob’s passion for caregiving started when he took care of his wife during her battle with Parkinson’s. Since then, he’s earned incredible feedback from his clients, who appreciate his kindness and dedication. A Vietnam veteran, Bob’s mission is to give back to his community, and caregiving is where he’s made an incredible impact. He was also a nominee for Caregiver of the Year from our leadership team. Thank you, Bob, for everything you do!

Did you know seniors are more vulnerable to cold weather? As we age, our body’s ability to produce and conserve heat can decrease, making it harder to stay warm. Today, I’m out delivering Home Helpers Home Care blankets to our community and referral partners to help keep everyone cozy this winter. I’ll admit, I may have snagged one for myself due to these freezing temperatures in Indiana! Stay warm, everyone!
