Home HeadQuarters is a non-profit neighborhood and housing development organization and certified Community Development Financial Institution who, since 1996, has helped more than 3,500 families become first-time homebuyers; provided nearly 10,000 homeowners with $105 million in home improvement loans and grants, and developed more than 800 formerly vacant properties. Home HeadQuarters is the leading home improvement lender to families of color living in Syracuse, out lending all other financial institutions combined. The organization is a chartered member of NeighborWorks America, the country’s first designated Community Based Development Organization and is recognized nationally for its innovative loan products for homebuyers, local contractors and "Mom & Pop" landlords that are unable to borrow from traditional lenders.

Great things happening on Syracuse's Main Street!
Exciting news for Downtown Syracuse's South Salina Street! County Executive McMahon was joined by City of Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh, Onondaga County Legislator Charles Garland and Home HeadQuarters, Inc. CEO Kerry Quaglia at OnaJava Coffee House to announce 16 new Main Street Program Grant recipients. Our Main Street Program focuses on revitalizing infrastructure and businesses to help increase economic activity and keep our community vibrant and flourishing. Our $1,025,983 investment has leveraged $454,760 in private matching for a total amount of $1,480,743 in funds for the South Salina Corridor. Congratulations to all our recipients!🎉

Home HeadQuarters broke ground on six new single-family houses on #Syracuse's Southside last week as part of Mayor Walsh's Resurgent Neighborhoods Initiative (RNI) and NY State's Affordable Homeownership Opportunity Program (AHOP). These six new homes, being built by NYS-certified Minority Owned Business Enterprises, are the first of 40 homes HHQ will get in the ground for income-eligible, first time homebuyers before the end of next year.

We have a committed Board of Directors! Impressive indeed, Calvin Corriders!
Today's member spotlight is the impressive Calvin Corriders! Calvin is the Real Estate Project Manager for the Allyn Foundation Inc. The Allyn Foundation is a local foundation working in Cayuga and Onondaga County. Allyn is focused on addressing generational poverty and social inequality in our local community by working to create, grow and attract businesses, support residents in addressing economic opportunities, providing tools for personal and family stability and the newest focus has been creating economic growth through inclusive real estate development projects. Cal’s role will be working to develop socially equitable real estate development projects in the City of Syracuse, like the Children Rising Center which will provide early learning education, a parent/child play space and health and wellness opportunities to the residents of the city. Cal brings a wealth of skills and knowledge to the role. Prior to joining the Allyn Foundation team, Cal spent many years in banking where he held a variety of roles that all focused on supporting and guiding consumers and businesses to achieve their financial goals. He also spent time working in economic development for CenterState CEO where he supported businesses development, real estate projects and place based economic development strategies that helped advance the City of Syracuse. Cal is a Syracuse native, he graduated from Corcoran High School and Syracuse University. He’s incredibly passionate about his community which can be seen from his volunteerism and board commitments to date. Cal has served on a variety of boards like CNY United Way, Syracuse Model Neighborhood, Home Headquarters, CNYCF Black Equity and Excellence Fund, Syracuse Economic Development Corporation and NYS Job Development Authority amongst others. He was also a recipient of the 2021 Forty under Forty Award! Outside of work, Cal runs his own real estate business where he is renovating and managing properties of his own. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, working out, and playing recreation sports like kickball, basketball and pickle ball.
