Philadelphia, PA: - PhilaPort (The Port of Philadelphia) cold storage warehouse A&E Construction Co. is responsible for the design-build construction of a temperature-controlled 200,000 SF warehouse for storage of refrigerated and frozen goods.?The warehouse will be situated adjacent to PhilaPort’s dry warehouse that A&E completed in 2022.?The cold storage facility will consist of freezer and refrigerated rooms. The design includes a state-of-the-art automated pallet retrieval and storage racking system.?The building will have a stepped roof, ranging from 30 feet high for the loading docks to 74 feet high for the freezer rooms. After being awarded the project, A&E and our design-build team worked in collaboration with PhilaPort and their tenant, to ensure that this facility would have the maximum flexibility and control for various product storage. The estimated completion date of this project is October 2025. Enjoy the virtual video of the project.
