Today, we highlight Carina Solis and Annie Olivares from our Laredo, TX location—two women proving every day that there’s no limit to what women can achieve in this field. As Parts Manager, Carina Solis was drawn to the construction industry because of its impact—from roads and highways to new developments, and she saw an opportunity to contribute to something bigger than herself. With 12 years of experience at HOLT CAT, Carina has built a reputation for excellence, ensuring customers receive the right parts on time while fostering a culture of teamwork and leadership. She believes success in this industry isn’t about gender but about having strong organizational skills, resilience, and confidence in your abilities. For Annie Olivares, Parts Representative, her passion for engines started in the automotive world. Transitioning to heavy machinery gave her the opportunity to expand her knowledge and take on new challenges. She thrives in a fast-paced environment, finding solutions for customers and collaborating with team members across different locations. One of the biggest misconceptions she wants to break? That women don’t have the interest or expertise to work in machinery and construction. Through experience, training, and teamwork over the last 9 years, Annie has proven time and time again that women belong in this industry. Both Carina and Annie hope that by sharing their stories, they can inspire more women to see construction as a career path with endless opportunities for growth, leadership, and innovation. For nearly 13 years, Victoria Lusk has been a force in the industry as a Field Service Technician at HOLT CAT. Her love for learning and repairing started early, and she’s turned that passion into a career that challenges and inspires her every day. “I’ve always had a passion for learning and repairing anything I can get my hands on. The process challenges me, and I love the sense of accomplishment that comes with fixing and improving things,” Victoria says.
