On this day in 1943, the police liquidated the Kraków Ghetto. During the operation, the SS killed approximately 2,000 Jews. Approximately 3,000 more Kraków Jews were transported to Auschwitz-Birkenau. Find out more about the role of the Ghettos by going to the teaching resources on our website: het.org.uk/post-16/ghettos

We work with schools, colleges and communities across the UK to educate about the Holocaust & its contemporary relevance
关于我们
The Holocaust Educational Trust was established in 1988. Our aim is to educate young people from every background about the Holocaust and the important lessons to be learned for today. The Trust works in schools, universities and in the community to raise awareness and understanding of the Holocaust, providing teacher training, an outreach programme for schools, teaching aids and resource material. One of our earliest achievements was ensuring that the Holocaust formed part of the National Curriculum for History. We continue to play a leading role in training teachers on how best to teach the Holocaust. How the Trust Makes a Difference: ?Educates thousands of students across the UK ?Trains and supports hundreds of teachers every year ?Motivates future generations to speak out against intolerance ?Inspires individuals to consider their responsibilities to their communities ?Works with Parliament and the media to help spread understanding of the Holocaust and its relevance today

On Monday, our Scottish Ambassadors explored the history of Jewish refugees who came to Britain and attended a guided tour of a Synagogue, learning more about the Scottish Jewish community and the upcoming Jewish holiday of Purim. They were joined by Francoise Robertson, a Holocaust survivor who now lives in Scotland, who shared her moving testimony.

Thank you to Overbury for working with us, to deliver a special event to commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day and 80 years since the liberation of Auschwitz Birkenau. We are grateful to all who joined. We were honoured to be joined by Holocaust survivor Mala Tribich MBE and hear her powerful testimony.
Our project site team had the profound honour of hosting a powerful Holocaust Memorial event at our Cannon Street project site office, in collaboration with the Holocaust Educational Trust and the remarkable Holocaust survivor, Mala Tribich MBE. As we commemorate 80 years since the liberation, this may be one of the last opportunities to hear directly from a survivor. We welcomed over 75 attendees, both online and in-person, who came together to remember and reflect on this pivotal chapter of history. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated, whether you joined us online or gathered at our site office to listen to Mala’s inspiring story. Your presence made this event truly special. We extend our deepest gratitude to Mala, as well as Frankie Stanton and Lauren Rose from Holocaust Educational Trust for their unwavering commitment to educating and inspiring future generations. Special thanks to Tony Bennett, James Patmore, Debbie Plavinskas, Rebecca Bradshaw, Mia Fotheringham, Owen Hapgood and George Pandya for making this event happen. Additionally, our dedicated project team deserves recognition for their hard work and support in running the day. Your contributions were invaluable. International Women’s Day gives us another opportunity to honour the strength and resilience of women like Mala, whose stories remind us of the importance of inclusivity and fairness. #HolocaustMemorial #Inclusion #HET #HolocaustSurvivor #MalaTribichMBE #SocialValue #IWD2025 #Resilience
