According to the World Economic Forum, the global labor market is in the midst of a significant transformation, driven by technology, geoeconomic change, and the need for a just climate transition. Traditional employment patterns are being disrupted and workers are facing the need to transition into new roles. They argue that this is increasingly critical not just for maintaining employment and social mobility, but also for economic productivity and people's well-being. In next month’s election, Greenville County residents will have the option to vote for a 1% sales tax, otherwise known as a penny tax, to improve roads and support infrastructure. This is a $.01 sales tax collected on every dollar spent except groceries, fuel or prescription drugs. The revenue can only be spent on the roads and bridges on the approved project list. Hollingsworth stands in support of using innovative tools to finance transportation needs in our community.
