We took advantage of the rainy weather this week to enhance safety measures! On Monday, 28th we had our first of several planned 'Stop the Bleed' training classes. 28 employees received training, with a goal of reaching 100 participants overall to ensure we have trained individuals stationed both in the office and on the road. Additionally, we will be acquiring trauma kits for both office and field locations. (This training is offered at no cost, courtesy of Riverside University Health System) The STOP THE BLEED? campaign was initiated by a federal interagency workgroup convened by the National Security Council Staff, The White House. The purpose of the campaign is to build national resilience by better preparing the public to save lives by raising awareness of basic actions to stop life threatening bleeding following everyday emergencies and man-made and natural disasters On Tuesday, March 11th we had 12 employees receive their First Aid/CPR Certification. This is our routine First Aid and CPR Training to make sure we always have a trained employee at our plants and offices. #safetyfirst

Adam's last load of concrete was batched into his truck this morning at 8:30am out of our Campus plant in Upland. Over the course of his career he successfully hauled over 234,000 yards of concrete. That is enough concrete to pave a 10' wide, 6" thick lane for 235 miles, or to build the Dallas Cowboy's Stadium. We can't thank Adam enough for his dedication to our company, the extremely high standard he set for all of our drivers, and his relentless commitment to professionalism and quality. Godspeed.

Adam Kasztelewicz Jr. has been a mixer driver for 40 years, 30 of those with Holliday Rock. This is Adam’s last week as he is set to retire this Friday, February 28th. We can't thank him enough for his dedication, loyalty, and years of service. He set the standard for what we consider the best driver with his character, quality, and professionalism.
