Have you heard? Apple’s iOS 18.2 update turned AirPods Pro 2 into “clinical-grade” OTC hearing aids - sparking a viral TV ad (50+ million YouTube views!) and plenty of questions. As a Doctor of Audiology, I wanted real feedback from real people. So, I handed eight Abilene locals the AirPods Pro 2 for two weeks to test Apple’s new self-guided hearing feature. How did they rate them? Here's what they had to say ??

As someone who is still working, and in a job where listening is my most critical tool. I was also worried about the impact it could have on my personal relationships with family and friends. Here is Billy's Better Hearing Story. ?? "I first realized I had a hearing challenge early in my career as a steel fabricator, working around very noisy machinery. When I reached out to the clinic, I didn’t have any fears or concerns, and I was very impressed with the courteous professionalism I encountered. Although I’ve missed out on conversations before getting hearing aids, they have made a significant difference in my life. To anyone concerned about their hearing, I’d say, go for it! No worries."
