Established in Omaha, Nebraska, Holland Basham Architects is an Omaha-based architectural and interior design firm that opened its doors on May 10, 1989, with two principals Tim Holland and Keith Basham. The firm quickly launched its brand and built a legacy on which we stand today. We are a design firm that puts our clients first. Good people doing good work, we strive to inspire, drive progress, and improve our community. Our team is backed with diverse experience and technical expertise; we do not settle for status quo. Established in Omaha in 1989, Holland Basham Architects (HBA) has been planning and designing dynamic environments that support the community, enhance culture, and maximize real estate value ever since. The company has grown to over 70 employees in three office locations and is celebrating 35 years in 2024. Some significant projects over the years include Midtown Crossing, Steelhouse, and multiple design solutions for long-standing clients such as Creighton University, the University of Nebraska, CHI Health, Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium, Metropolitan Community College, and Methodist Health Systems. HBA is dedicated to hiring remarkable talent, producing extraordinary work — and putting the vision and goals of our clients first. The new EDGE District is reshaping central Omaha and we are proud to be part of the team helping to create this hub of connection and innovation between University of Nebraska Medical Center and the community. Located on approximately 26-acres, EDGE is designed to be more than just a campus expansion. This dynamic, mixed-use environment is supported by office space, retail, multifamily, educational and health care related facilities balanced by public amenity space. This district is an example of UNMC’s commitment to improving people’s lives through better research, education clinical care and outreach. Last month Mike Eckmann presented at the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) national conference with Sara Hough, Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium's Director of Planning and Design. Together they shared how the design worked within the existing building to create a reimagined exhibit experience, maximizing vertical climbing space for the animals to thrive and innovating new ways to not only observe, but also interact with the animals. The highly immersive and interactive design creates a more natural habitat for the orangutans while ?- enhances visitor experience ?- showcases keeper work? ?- creates educational connection

Our multi-family project at 48th & Dodge Street has entered the wood-framing phase of construction.
