If we can’t feel safe where we worship, then where can we possibly go? As worship place leaders, we have strong faith and be prayerful as if everything relies on God and we need to be fully prepared and have solid plans as if everything relies upon us. I don’t normally post on LinkedIn, but since many of my contacts are fellow prior service veterans or work in the defense industry, this message is too important to ignore My brother, LtCol Dan Schmitt, recently lost his struggle with PTSD. He spent years trying to overcome and seek help, but in the end paid the ultimate price for his service. There are many veterans that suffer from PTSD, some in our everyday lives that we aren’t aware of. If you know someone that suffers, reach out, just to talk, hear how their day was and provide whatever support they need. I know that I wish I would have more often than I did. I’ll miss you big brother, but I know you’re finally at peace.
