The EDPP (EU’s privacy watchdog) just announced their coordinated enforcement focus for 2025, and they’re targeting how well companies handle?deletion requests?under #GDPR. What you need to know: ?? 32 Data Protection Authorities across Europe will be investigating companies’ erasure practices ?? They’ll be checking if you’re properly responding to “forget me” requests ?? This is one of the most frequently exercised GDPR rights (and frequently complained about) ?? Investigations are starting SOON ?Remember: when a customer, user, employee (or anyone you have data on really) says “delete my data,” responding with “delete what now?” is not a great compliance strategy. Especially now! So, just in time for spring cleaning, time to dust off those data retention policies and make sure your delete button actually works.
