Our President and CEO Dave Drinkward was one of the keynote speakers at this morning’s Linfield University School of Business YET symposium. Dave spoke to a packed room about the importance of mental health, the benefits of building healthy professional relationships, the prevalence of suicide in the construction industry, and how suicide prevention is a deeply personal topic for us here at Hoffman. Hoffman Vice President Dave Garske contributed his own personal connection to suicide and shared our company’s efforts help save lives through training, sharing resources, establishing GUTS rooms at our project sites, and most importantly, destigmatizing conversations about mental health. “We’re not doing this to change our profits,” said Garske. “We’re doing it because it’s the right thing to do.” Thank you for including us in your program, Linfield University, and for letting us share our company’s history and philosophy about prioritizing mental health. #ToughEnoughToTalk

It's been four days since Seattle's newest landmark opened to the public, and our social media feed is still filled with pictures of Overlook Walk. In an effort to keep this trend going for as long as possible, we wanted to share a few more. Overlook Walk wouldn't have become a reality without the hard work and dedication of the City of Seattle, FRIENDS OF THE SEATTLE WATERFRONT Pike Place Market Foundation Magnusson Klemencic Associates, hundreds of craftworkers, and the Seattle community at large. Together we made an ambitious vision a reality - and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. Seattle now has a green, accessible community gathering space that offers sweeping views of the Puget Sound and connects the city's downtown core, Pike Place Market, the waterfront, and ferry terminals. This project is a testament to Seattle's rich cultural heritage and its stunning natural beauty. If you plan on heading to Seattle, please don't leave town without experiencing Overlook Walk in person for yourself - you won't regret it. #hoffmanbuilds

The day is finally here and we couldn't be more excited. Seattle's Overlook Walk officially opens to the public at 4:30pm. We can't even wait a couple more hours for everyone to see what we’ve been working on these past few years, so here's a quick sneak peek of what you'll soon be able to see for yourselves. This new public, accessible pathway connects Seattle’s beloved waterfront to Pike Place Market and Seattle’s urban core. It offers a stunning elevated panoramic view of Elliott Bay, the Olympics, and Mount Rainier. It also provides seating areas, terraced landscaping with native plants, slides, and other play elements for the whole family to enjoy. Overlook Walk is not only a functional pathway to connect Seattle's most popular attractions, it’s also an exquisite work of art and tribute to the Pacific Northwest. All this is thanks to the brilliant design of The Miller Hull Partnership, LLP. We're pretty sure you’re going to love it, but we'd love to know what you think. Please comment below if/when you see it for yourself. #hoffmanbuilds City of Seattle FRIENDS OF THE SEATTLE WATERFRONT Pike Place Market Foundation Visit Seattle Magnusson Klemencic Associates

Semiconductor chips, or microchips, are a crucial component in today’s modern day society. Most of us are aware that chips are necessary in our smart phones and computers, but do you know they're also necessary to operate most of our cars, coffee makers, vacuum cleaners, and fitness trackers? Chips are used to retrieve signals, store data, and give us necessary, sometimes lifesaving, information every single day. Which is why semiconductor factories, also referred to as “Fabs”, are so important. Since 1995 Hoffman Construction has built over 20 semiconductor factories around the U.S. and the Middle East. We’ve learned a lot along the way, and we’ve taken lessons learned to improve our processes, increase our efficiency, and complete the construction of fabs with an unprecedented safety record. Being in business for over 100 years means that we’ve had to change and grow over the years, and we are proud to be on the cutting edge of the semiconductor business and support an industry that touches the lives of everyone in the world. #hoffmanbuilds
