We had a special guest at Hoffman Academy! ??? Our history class had the incredible opportunity to learn from a Gettysburg Park Ranger! This teaching ranger shared fascinating insights about the Civil War, bringing history to life with real artifacts. Our students even got to try on a soldier’s jacket, cartridge box, and haversack—giving them a hands-on feel for what soldiers carried during battle. One of the most eye-opening moments was examining a map marking mass grave sites for Union soldiers, Confederate soldiers, and even horses.
