What an incredible groundbreaking celebration for the Nolensville Town Square project.? This is a great example of what can happen when we all (land owners, elected officials, town staff, developer, consultants, and a community) pull in the same direction and dream big. We collectively are going to be a part of the Town of Nolensville’s first public square since its founding in 1797. While so many towns have lost their identity to suburban sprawl, just a few short years ago the Town of Nolensville made the bold decision to do something different. You put in the work to preserve your heritage while shaping your future. It was a treat to also have the land owners a part of this celebration. Thank you to our fantastic partners for joining the celebration: Smith Gee Studio, HDLA, CSDG, RAWSO Constructors, and Town of Nolensville. Story Link: https://lnkd.in/eZsTPCQS

Mill Ridge Regional Metro Park has won a Merit Award at the AIA Middle Tennessee Celebration of Architecture Awards on October 16th, 2024. The AIA Middle TN Design Awards Program strives to recognize, publicize, and celebrate projects that represent the best of Middle Tennessee architecture; projects that are exemplary for their thoughtful, sustainable, innovative, and well-crafted design. The judges found that, "Mill Ridge Regional Metro Park celebrates the unique cedar glade ecosystem. The outdoor classrooms and interactive art installation inspired by the school's Marching Band encourage creative exploration through music and movement. The jury commends the collaboration with the landscape architecture, as the park masterfully integrates diverse areas—lush gardens, vibrant sports corridors, and festive gathering spaces—connected by greenways and trails. The simple but elegant material palette of the structures complement the overall richness in the design of this vibrant public space." https://lnkd.in/grddaX69

Exciting news! The ESa-designed Tempo by Hilton was recognized at the 2024 AIA Middle Tennessee Design Awards honoring the remarkable work that architects are doing in our communities. The annual Celebration of Architecture awards ceremony was held at Saint Elle on October 16, 2024. The jury praised its modern, clean lines, unique form, and thoughtful integration into the vibrant downtown Nashville scene. Sustainable practices and locally inspired materials make this project a standout in the city's evolving architectural landscape. Big congrats to our Tempo by Hilton team (HRI Hospitality, BELL Construction, I.C. Thomasson Associates, Inc., a Salas O'Brien Company, HDLA, Structural Design Group) and all the honorees at this year's AIA Middle Tennessee Design Awards. Also honored at the Celebration of Architecture were Tara Myers, FAIA (ESa) and David Bailey, FAIA (HASTINGS). David Bailey, FAIA; and Tara Myers, FAIA; were elevated to the AIA College of Fellows, AIA’s highest membership honor, for each's exceptional work and contributions to architecture and society. Less than three percent of the architecture profession achieve AIA Fellowship.
