🌟 Intern Alumni Spotlight: Cameron Morgan! 🌟 Cameron Morgan’s journey into cybersecurity started as a Ho-Chunk, Inc. summer intern in the IT department while earning her degree in Cybersecurity with a minor in Cybercrime in 2021. The internship quickly led to her becoming Ho-Chunk, Inc.’s first Cybersecurity Analyst. 💻 In her role, Cameron is responsible for protecting the company from cybersecurity threats like phishing and malware, leading phishing simulations, and collaborating with teams across Ho-Chunk, Inc. to improve security posture. She also helps ensure compliance with leading cybersecurity standards like NIST and ISO. Reflecting on her internship, Cameron credits it with giving her hands-on experience and boosting her confidence in addressing real-world cybersecurity challenges. It also helped her develop important professional skills, such as problem-solving, critical thinking and connecting with others in the field. 🧩 Her advice to future interns? “Be curious, ask questions, and embrace challenges.” Cameron says. “It’s a unique chance to gain practical experience, network with industry professionals, and explore your interests in a supportive and collaborative environment.” Cameron is a prime example of how our internship program can set the stage for a successful career, especially in a fast-evolving field like cybersecurity, where real-world experience is key. 🔗 Apply now!
