Deployed our first NAAF Youth credit builder loan last week. In effort to introduce financial understanding and importance of credit awareness and getting off on right foot into adulthood. Ho Chunk Community Capital offered the opportunity for youth zero percent lending through revolving loan capital awarded from the Native American Agricultural Fund. Since the CDFI reports to the bureaus this is the first step toward establishing credit for participants. Another Native American homebuyer advanced utilizing #HoChunkCDFI #matchsaving program. Buyer needed cash to close and enrolled in the program and was provided the access to #capital needed with this incentived savings program meant to break down the barriers to #homeownership. Buyer saved $800 over course of 4 months and our organization matched 4-1 for an additional $3600 in closing costs.
